Basic tutorials can be found on the web for free for Dreamweaver training. These tutorials are free until you reach the more in depth area such as site control. When reaching the more advanced sections, a subscription to the website and a fee maybe required. Closed captioning is offered for the videos. Exercise files maybe available for download.

Getting started is where you will find information on coding and scripting for Dreamweaver. The videos provide much more detail about the varieties of coding and scripts that are available, why they are important and what their function is.
User interface for Dreamweaver is the next lesson. How to setup your workspace is the first choice offered. The majority of programs have a welcome screen that appears when it is first loaded. For the differences in the interface between Windows and Mac, this is the section to look in. This topic also discusses the purpose for the property inspector, insert bar, document window and toolbar, panel groups and panels, how to save the layouts and creating a default browser.
Within the section of Site control file and folder management is discussed. Understanding the path structure, developing a sitemap and how to add to your site is the goal.
Being able to create or save new documents is necessary in order to develop a new blank site. Learning about adding text and images is necessary as well as understanding doctype, how to align text in the document and creating meta tags.
If you do not already know how to create links, check out the section that provides this information. You can learn how to create these links with point to file, email links, external links, named anchors and how to link to files and image maps.
CSS essentials provide the user with an introduction to CSS. A lesson on the anatomy of the CSS style sheet, page properties, style panels, moving internal sheets to external file sheets and what is a selector and its function are in the introduction.
Formatting the text within a sheet is discussed in typography.
Creating and formatting tables to your page is taught.
Then are the instructions for Layout. This section talks about layout tools, tracing images, how to add AP div tags and working with layout tables.
